Plain-English Note: These terms are a legal agreement between you and Line Up. By using the site, you agree to them. Please read the sections that matter most to you — especially around user content, accounts, and how we can suspend access.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Line Up ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our") at lineup.dance, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms at any time. We'll note the updated date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
2. Who Can Use Line Up
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country of residence if that is higher. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the Service, you represent that:
- All information you provide is accurate and current
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
3. Accounts
To access certain features (ratings, lists, playlists), you must create an account.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User-Generated Content
Line Up allows users to submit ratings, create lists, and contribute other content ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Line Up a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and use that content to operate and improve the Service.
You agree NOT to post content that:
- Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
- Infringes on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property right
- Is abusive, harassing, threatening, or hateful
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or malicious code
We do not pre-screen User Content but reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on Line Up that is not User Content — including the design, code, branding, logos, and editorial content — is owned by Line Up and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Line Up may offer paid subscription tiers ("Pro," or similar). If you subscribe:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed
- We use third-party payment processors (such as Stripe) and do not store your full payment details
Pricing may change with reasonable notice to active subscribers.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Impersonate another person or entity
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may link to third-party sites or integrate third-party services (e.g., Spotify). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
Dance event information, choreography data, and ratings are community-sourced and may be inaccurate. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of any content on the platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Line Up shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Line Up and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your User Content
- Your violation of these Terms
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
